Defend Tribal Sovereignty; enforce the laws of the Tribe, draft Tribal Ordinances, draft and review contracts, defend the Tribe in all administrative and court proceedings and provide on-going legal advice to the Tribal Council, Executive Committee and all Departments and Boards of the Tribe.Department History: The Office of the Tribal Attorney was first established by contract in 1978. The Office was officially created by Tribal law with the adoption of the Administrative Code in 2000.

Prosecute and defend lawsuits involving the Tribe, it’s officers, agents and employee; negotiate, draft and interpret contracts involving the Tribe; provide on-going legal advise to the Tribe and its Offices, Departments and Boards. David Denhert focuses on housing and energy issues.
